Looks like there are some big changes coming for Parsley 3 http://www.spicefactory.org/parsley/docs/roadmap/
I got into Software Engineering because I felt the applications I was using at the time (military communications) could be made more usable. I left the Navy and went to university as a mature student. After graduating, I got caught up in the dot com / ecommerce boom. I spent the next 12 years working firstly in the java arena and eventually moved over to Flex when I joined a company run by a friend and former colleague Steven Webster. The company “iteration::two” was owned by Steven and Alistair McLeod and was eventually bought up by Adobe to become the European arm of their consulting organisation, which I believe was a testament to the leadership Ali and Steve were giving in the Flex world.
At iteration::two we focussed on delivering user-centric applications in an agile manner. At around this time I started to realise that my original motivation was to make applications more user-centric, if only I had known at the time what user experience design was and that people could make a career out of making applications more user friendly :-)
Anyhow, despite so far not getting a break in the UX world, I can console myself with the fact that I get to work with a whole bunch of smart people who all passionatly believe in delivering user-centric applications which are, under the covers well engineered. The people I get to work with are expert in a diverse set of areas, from Software Engineering, Quality Assurance through to User Experience and Business Strategy. This blog aims to point out to some of the exciting things these people and others are working on, capture some of the more mundane but equally important aspects of the work and also act as my personal notebook of API’s, Tips & Tricks and other random links.
